Ramin Ebrahimnejad is Business Development Manager at the Advanced Plant Growth Centre (APGC), part of the James Hutton Institute. With a background in agroecology and agricultural engineering, he leads initiatives to secure funding and foster innovation in Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA), vertical farming, and advanced phenotyping. Ramin’s work focuses on translating plant science into commercially viable solutions that enhance climate resilience, support sustainable food production, and enable plant variety development for environmental conservation. He also plays a key role in industry engagement through the UK’s National Alternative Protein Innovation Centre (NAPIC), connecting researchers, businesses, and policymakers to accelerate agri-food innovation.
