Melvin Woodhouse is Senior International Development Officer at the James Hutton Institute with over 40 years of global experience in water resources management, law, and policy. He holds an MSc in Water Resources Technology and an LLM in International Water Law and Policy. Melvin has led large, multi-disciplinary teams for organizations including the World Bank, AfDB, DANIDA, and UNEP, with expertise spanning strategic water resource management, transboundary water governance, institutional reform, and climate security planning. He has delivered more than 200 technical reports and advised governments on drafting and enacting water legislation. His work spans over 30 countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and beyond.
