Mohamed Aman Mulki is a Syrian/German Plant Geneticist. He studied plant biology and microbiology at the University of Aleppo and later did his Master studies in molecular crop breeding at the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA). Aman gained his PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research (MPIPZ) and the University of Cologne and did further Postdoctoral research in MPIPZ and Düsseldorf University focusing on the genetic control of reproductive development in cereal crops. In 2019, Aman moved to the global seed company KWS SAAT SE where he worked on the molecular breeding of maize and oilseed crops. Mohamed Aman Mulki has recently joined Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) as Molecular Plant Breeding Expert in the team of Abu Dhabi Agricultural Genome Program which aims to enhance food security and agricultural sustainability in the emirate and the country.
