Dr. Eman Soliman is a water resources expert with more than 22 years of experience in water resources planning and management. She holds a Ph.D. focusing on the impact of climate change on river flows. Her expertise covers a wide range of areas, including water–climate resilience, hydrological modeling, and knowledge management.

Currently, Dr. Soliman serves as an Advisor on Water Resources Management with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), where she leads a cooperative program that promotes efficient and sustainable irrigation water use. Through her work, she supports the integration of innovative practices and smart irrigation technologies that enhance water productivity and build resilience to climate impacts.

Before joining FAO, Dr. Soliman was the Head of the Planning Sector at Egypt’s Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources. In this role, she contributed to the development and implementation of national projects aimed at improving water efficiency, strengthening water–climate resilience, and supporting sustainable agricultural growth. Her long-standing commitment to advancing science-based solutions for water management has positioned her as a leading voice in promoting sustainable and climate-resilient approaches to managing scarce water resources in arid and semi-arid regions.
