Dr. Aktham Sawan is a Data Management and Artificial Intelligence Specialist at the Abu Dhabi Agriculture & Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), where he is a specialist in data governance, and AI-driven transformation initiatives. With over 15 years of experience in data science, business intelligence, and enterprise data architecture, he has been instrumental in building ADAFSA’s in-house data platforms, including the Golden Records Master Data System, Data Quality KPI Dashboard, and HAQEL AI-Powered Agriculture Insights Platform.
Dr. Sawan’s expertise spans predictive analytics, machine learning, and data integration, with a focus on leveraging AI to enhance decision-making across the food and agriculture value chain. He has spearheaded projects that integrate multisource datasets—from weather and soil data to livestock and trade systems—to support food security and optimize subsidies across Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE.
He holds a Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) credential and has been a strong advocate for implementing Microsoft Purview-based data governance and predictive modelling frameworks within government entities.
