Dr. Maria Michela Morese is Senior Natural Resources Officer and Energy Team Leader at FAO. She has 25 years of experience on international relations on a wide range of fields including climate change, environment and energy. She was Executive Secretary of the Global Bioenergy Partnership (GBEP) and Project Coordinator at FAO between 2006 and 2022. Before joining FAO, she worked for the Italian Government mainly on Environmental and Climate Change related topics, as well as for UN agencies with a focus on human rights. Michela has a background on International Relations and a PhD in Forest Ecology.
